The AcalaQuell® Smart is a lot more than just a water dispenser. It is a complete, but compact Water Treatment System. The ceramic-prefilter lets no rust, dust or particles through. The pore size of the ceramic is just 0,2 - 0,45µm fine, which has the effect, that no germs can go though.
In the second step the water flows through the premium filter cartridge. After cleaning the water with a special activated carbon and Silver activated carbon, lime, nitrate and other unwanted substances will be reduced or removed by ion exchange. In the next step, the water flews through a bioceramic, which submits calcium and magnesium to it. Even the PH value shall be moved a little bit into the basic PH value region. A layer of zeolite removes molecules and even the tiniest ingredients which have a strong positive charge. Thereby it acts as an ultrafine molecular sieve and catalyst. After that the water flows though quartz sand. The mineral stones are similar to material of zeolite. They give minerals in trace amounts to the water and affect the drinking water slightly basic. The result is a exceedingly well - tasting, soft and wholesome water, similar to spring water, that you will like to drink!

In order to fill in your water easily, you should have at least 65cm in hight! The filter insert should be changed every 4 months.
The ceramic filter should be changed once a year, if you have very old water pipes, maybe earlier. The base and the cover have the color white. The AcalaQuell® Smart comes complete with ceramic filters, premium filter cartridge and mineral stones.
